What Our Customers Say
Care For Jewelery
All our pieces are carefully picked from the highest quality materials. It is important to care for your jewellery to keep it in the most perfect condition. We advise that you store your Kinz Jewelry in its original packaging or in a cool / dry place.
Gold plating is sensitive to water. For long lasting colour & to ensure longevity, keep it out of water for prolonged periods of time, including swimming, showering and physical exercise. Avoid keeping it close to other pieces of jewelry to prevent scratching and exposure to perfume & suncream. For plated pieces, use jewelry polishing cloth avoid liquid cleaners that contain a bunch of chemicals.
At a bare minimum, we recommend wiping down your stainless steel jewelry with a dry or lightly damp cloth every once in a while to keep it sparkling. You can safely shower with your stainless-steel jewelry and wash your hands with a stainless-steel ring without the ornaments getting any major damage. While water might not cause any damage, harsh chemicals can.
It is best to use soft, dry cleaning materials to clean your enamel jewelry. It can react to strong products such as perfume and suncream and should not be worn when washing up, swimming or when doing physical exercise. Enamel can lose its shine but it can be polished up again.
The colour of the metal can tarnish with exposure to humidity and frequent handling. To brighten up your silver pieces, you can use bicarbonate of soda and lemon juice, and rinse with warm soapy water. You can also use silver polishing cloth cleaner anti-tarnish which you can buy from most supermarkets or online store.
Materials FAQ’S
Is 925 silver good quality for jewelry?
Despite being less pure than real silver, silver 925 retains its beauty and lustrous appearance. Therefore, it is an excellent choice for those seeking an affordable option. Durability Factor – The added metal alloys in sterling silver makes it significantly stronger and more durable compared to fine silver.
The biggest benefit of wearing sterling silver daily is that it will keep your silver looking shiny and new. Over time, tarnish can cause silver to become dull and scratched. Wearing sterling silver every day will help to prevent this from happening. Additionally, sterling silver is a very durable metal.
Is 925 silver hypoallergenic?
As 925 Silver is essentially the same as sterling silver, it is generally considered to be hypoallergenic.
Is stainless steel good for jewelry?
Stainless steel jewelry is created using a combination of Chromium, Nickel, and Iron. It is highly durable and resistant to corrosion and rust, making it the perfect choice for creating beautiful pieces that will last a lifetime.
The stainless steel in necklaces, earrings and bracelets will never tarnish, turn color, rust, or fade because of the layer of chromium within.
You can wear it every day and keep doing all your normal and heavy-duty tasks without worrying about damaging the ring. A stainless-steel ring will take all the onus and wear & tear of daily use.
Is stainless-steel hypoallergenic?
Yes, stainless-steel is also hypoallergenic, which means it is less likely to cause allergic reactions in people with sensitive skin.
